Cahir

Cahir, pronounced 'care', is a beautiful small town that is something like 10 or 15 miles south of Cashel. The drive was great and the castle there is amazingly well kept for a nearly 900 year old structure, none of it is in ruin. Also the castle is scenically situated on an island in a river and was simply a gorgeous park to wonder through.

It was a great morning, we arrived as it opened and not many other tourists had arrived yet. It was a grossly typical day weather-wise, we arrived in a downpour but the sun was warming us up ten minutes later.
