The Waterways and Green Spaces of Dublin

Dublin is home to some epic parks and waterways. There is Phoenix Park, which at 1,705 acres is more than twice the size of New York's Central Park (sadly, we didn't have time to visit), and the Grand and Royal Canals that ring the city on the north and south (both of which we only glimpsed while passing over), and several other amazing oases where Dubliners can escape the bustle of the streets which we simply didn't have time to see. Oh well, it's best to leave yourself reasons for going back eh?

What we did see was still great, including the River Liffey that runs right through the center of the city, St. Stephen's Green that is next to the college housing the Book of Kells, and another huge park just north of the city called St. Anne's. Also included are closer shots of those giant smoke stacks from the James Joyce Tower set.
