Oregon Summer

We made several trips to Oregon this year. Two of the three mini-vacations we took during the summer were in Oregon, and we were also down there in early October (it was our usual October trip). But the best trip down south by far was all the way down to Medford to see our friends the Holubs.

It was so good to see our old friends, and to see the success they have built for themselves in the Buttercloud Bakery. And what a great time we had, what an experience – great food and truly the best wine selection at the peerless New Sammy's Cowboy Bistro, and two nights of camping at Diamond lake, just to the north of Crater Lake.

Here are some photos of the camping portion of the journey. I hope I can convey at least a little of the awe the landscapes of the southern Cascades inspired in me. Crater Lake was simply mind blowing, a sight that shouldn't be missed.
